Tax Benefits Proposed for Web Design

On Tuesday night, Treasurer, Josh Frydenberg, handed down the federal government’s 2022-23 budget, which includes a plan to support businesses to go digital.
As detailed on the Budget website, small businesses that spend on new technologies like web design, will be able to claim 120% of the costs as deductions.
“From tonight, every hundred dollars these small businesses spend on digital technologies like cloud computing, e-invoicing, cybersecurity and web design will see them get a $120 tax deduction,” Frydenberg said.
To be considered a small business, you have to have an annual turnover of less than $50 million.
